Be
our guest in the Bükk!
Szilvásvárad
is situated 30 kms far from Eger at the gate of the wildly romantic
Bükk National Park. The village with it's population of 2000
has always counted as a popular tourist spot, but it became really
well-known in 1984 when the 7th Carriage Driving World Championship
took place here. There are many annual attractions, for example the
Lipizzaner Horse Festival, which is organised every September. The
famous International Carriage Driving Competition forms part of this
festival.
You
can find our campsite by the forest at the bottom of the hill Kalapot.
We have 9 log cabins comprising 36 individual rooms. Each room has
a balcony, a combined living/sleeping area, and an en-suite bathroom
with shower, toilet and sink. We have space for tents, caravans, and
motor homes for over 300 people. Within the campsite there are toilet
and shower blocks with free hot water. There is also a restaurant
that is open all day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The kitchen,
containing ring cookers, and the open-air cooking area with barbecues
and grills provide facilities for self-supporting guests. The common
room has a large fridge with separate lockable compartments, and a
seating and TV area.
We
can organise programs on request: hiking tours on the paths of the
Bükk mountain, visits to the ancient cavemen-dwelling cave, trips
to the stalactite/stalagmite limestone caves of Aggtelek, horse riding,
horse-and-carriage riding, biking, motorcycling, sight seeing and
wine tasting in Eger.
